Once and For All
Have you ever heard someone say,” Now once and for all that is my final word!” Or, “I’m telling you once and for all!” That is usually the end of the conversation when you hear that. Period!
Did you know there is a “Once and for all” in the Scriptures?
Yes, that is God’s message to us all. Once and for all Jesus died for the sins of all mankind. Let us look at some verses that affirm that fact.
“For in that he died, he died unto sin ONCE: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God” Romans 6:10
“Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sin, and then for the people’s: for this he did ONCE, when he offered up himself” Hebrews 7:27
“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, he entered in ONCE into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” Hebrews 9:12
“…but now in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself” Hebrews 9:26
“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE for all,” ( ephipaz = Greek for “ once and for all’) Hebrews 10:10
“And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering often times the same sacrifices, which can NEVER take away sins: But this man, after he had offered ONE SACRIFICE for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by ONE OFFERING he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.” Hebrews 10:11-14
On the cross of Calvary Christ cried’ “IT IS FINNISHED” John 19:30
( He did not say, “To be continued…” by you or me or anyone else.)
“Whatsoever God doeth it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.” Ecclesiastes 3:14
The Father has done all that can be done or that is possible or necessary to redeem mankind from his sin. The price was paid perfectly, and eternally through the shed blood of Christ on the cruel cross of man. ONCE AND FOR ALL!
In a court of Law penalty cannot be exacted twice for a paid offense. Because of our substitute, Jesus Christ, who is also our advocate (lawyer)(I Jn 2:1) and intercessor before our Judge, we have been declared “Not Guilty” from our death penalty of sin. We are free from the penalty of sin through the shed blood of Christ on Calvary’s cross!
ONCE AND FOR ALLLLLLLLL ! Yet ,”it is appointed unto man Once to die, but after this the judgment. So Christ was ONCE offered to bear the sins of many…” Hebrews 9:27 And as we only pass this way once, we must make it count for God. When you see him will he say, “Well done!” or will he say, “Depart from me”? The choice is yours today!
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house “ Acts 16:31
